MAAC Announces 2019 Softball All-Academic Team
Poughkeepsie, NY – A total of 105 student-athletes were named to the 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Softball All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Iona College and Marist College led the way, both placing 12 student-athletes on the All-Academic Team. Right behind was Manhattan College with 11 named to the list. Placing 10 to the All-Academic Team was Canisius College, Fairfield University, Niagara University, and Saint Peter’s University. Rounding out the list was Rider University and Siena College with nine, Monmouth University with six, and Quinnipiac with five student-athletes making it to the All-Academic Team.
