Canisius’s Neamtu and Quinnipiac’s Goria Pick Up First Cross Country Weekly Awards of 2019
Men’s Runner of the Week
Nick Neamtu, Canisius

Neamtu won his second-consecutive Little Three Individual Title on Friday, Aug. 30, at the Delaware Park Golf Course in Buffalo, New York, completing the 5K event with a personal-best time of 15:51.5. Neamtu was the first of five Golden Griffins to cross the line, helping the men's team earn its 14th-straight Little Three crown.
Women’s Runner of the Week
Shannon Goria, Quinnipiac
Fr., River Edge, NJ, River Dell
Goria finished fifth overall in her first collegiate-career meet at the Stony Brook Invitational. The freshman led the Bobcats with a time of 15:17.92 in the 4k race, leading the team to a second place finish.
