Atlantic City, N.J. (Jan 24, 2020) – The Atlantic City Weekly MAAC -n- Cheese Fest presented by Gourmet Dining Services, an annual staple of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Basketball Championships, is coming to Atlantic City on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.  The championships themselves will be held at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall from March 10-14, 2020, in the first year of a three-year agreement.

Once in the arena, fans can opt to pay $10.00 to sample macaroni and cheese from five participating restaurants and vote for a winner.  The winning restaurant will be honored at mid-court during the men's championship game.  Limited restaurant spots are still available.  Local restaurants already on-board for the contest include: Gordon Ramsey Steak (Harrah's), Guy Fieri's Bar-B-Que Joint (Bally's), Ducktown Tavern, Phillips Seafood, Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall, Gourmet Dining Services, and The Iron Room Restaurant.  Restaurants may contact Rachele Canazaro at Roberts Event Group to secure a spot: rachele@robertseventgroup.com or (215) 887-7880.  There will also be a craft beer and wine area where fans can pay $5.00 for three samples.

"MAAC -n- Cheese Fest has been very popular in all of our tournament host cities and we expect another great contest in Atlantic City.  It's a great food town," said MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor.  "This is something fun for the fans on our semi-final Friday that adds to the festival atmosphere of the event.  We are thankful and excited for Atlantic City Weekly and Gourmet Dining Services to help us grow the event."
