MAAC Announces 2019-20 Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team
Edison, N.J. (March 11, 2020) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) recognized 25 student-athletes who have been named to the 2019-20 Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at his institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher.
Marist College had a league-best five players named to the All-Academic Team. Manhattan College, Monmouth University, Quinnipiac University and Siena College followed behind with three selections apiece.
Canisius College, Niagara University and Saint Peter's University each added a pair of student-athletes to the list, while Fairfield University and Rider University were both represented by one honoree.
Two student-athletes – Canisius’ Malik Johnson (All-MAAC Third Team) and Quinnipiac’s Rich Kelly (All-MAAC Second Team) – were named to both the All-Academic Team and All-MAAC Teams.
