Offensive Player of the Week
Samantha Mehalick, Marist
Sr., North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Township
Mehalick exploded against Binghamton on Saturday, helping lead the Marist offense to its best performance of the season and the team's first win of the season. She scored seven goals on 12 shots, was 1-1 in free position attempts, and added two ground balls.
Defensive Player of the Week
Michelle Messenger, Niagara
So., Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland High
Messenger had a monster performance in Niagara's win over Saint Francis (PA). She made 18 saves on 24 shots on goal, and also picked up a career-high eight ground balls. She moved to 2-0 on the season, improved her MAAC-best save percentage to .628 and lowered her goals-against average to 9.33.
Rookie of the Week
Maggie Fort, Fairfield
Fr., New York, NY/Poly Prep
Maggie Fort was all over the field for the Stags with five points, seven draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 1-1 week of action.
