Atlantic City, N.J. (March 9, 2020) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced its 2019-20 Men’s Basketball All-MAAC First, Second and Third Teams, as voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches.

The All-MAAC First Team is made up of Siena College’s Manny Camper and Jalen Pickett, Iona College’s E.J. Crawford, Monmouth University’s Deion Hammond, Niagara University’s Marcus Hammond and Rider University’s Dimencio Vaughn.

One of the six All-MAAC First Team honorees will be named the 2019-20 MAAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, as selected by the coaches.

Crawford, Pickett and Vaughn all earned First Team honors unanimously. This marks Crawford’s second debut on the All-MAAC First Team after making the list in 2018-19. The senior is a three-time MAAC Champion and looks to become the second player in MAAC history to win a fourth. Crawford enters the championship averaging a league-high 18.8 points per game.

Preseason Player of the Year and reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year Jalen Pickett led the Saints to the regular season title and the No. 1 overall seed. The sophomore standout is averaging 15.3 points, a league-leading 6.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds. Junior Manny Camper joins his teammate on the All-MAAC First Team. Camper is one of two players in the league averaging a double-double, with 13.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

Vaughn helped lead the Broncs to the No. 3 seed and a first-round bye in the MAAC tournament. The redshirt junior leads the team in scoring (14.8 points) and steals (1.8) and ranks second in rebounding (4.9) and assists (1.9).

Deion Hammond sits in third in the league in scoring at 16.3 points per game. The junior ranks in the top-10 in the league in two other statistical categories, free throw percentage (80.6 percent – 7th) and three-point field goals made (2.6 per game – 2nd).

In his sophomore season, Marcus Hammond is averaging 14.2 points, 2.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds, all good for team-highs. Hammond was twice named the MAAC Player of the Week this season.
