Rider’s Barbiere and Saint Peter’s Proctor Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Barbiere was enjoying early-season success prior to the year’s abrupt ending, hitting .273 with a team-best 13 runs scored in 14 games as the team’s starting third baseman. A MAAC All-Academic Team honoree last year while redshirting, Barbiere started 35 of 37 games played as a freshman in 2018. He’s achieved in the classroom, posting a 3.37 cumulative GPA as a marketing major through the Fall 2019 semester.
Grace Proctor

Women's Cross Country/Track
Grace Proctor completed her junior season on the cross country and track & field programs at Saint Peter’s this past fall and winter. She set a personal record in the 1,000 meters at the Ramapo Opener with a time of 3:26.37 to highlight her indoor track campaign before the outdoor season was cut short due to COVID-19. She also placed ninth in the distance medley relay and 22nd in the mile at the league’s indoor championship. Proctor also competed in all four cross country meets in 2019 and served as the team captain. She posted her best time (22:22.7) in the 5K race at the NJIT Highlander Challenge and placed in the top-130 at the league championship meet. She served as a member of SAAC, as well.
