The Monmouth women's basketball team and new Head Coach Ginny Boggess fell in their 2021-22 season opener and Boggess’ Hawks debut, 87-46, to Syracuse Wednesday night at the Carrier Dome. Ariana Vanderhoop paced the Hawks (0-1) with a team-best 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting to go along with five boards and a pair of steals. Jen Louro logged eight in the scoring column, while Jania Hall added six.
