2021 MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship Field Set
EDISON, N.J. (Apr. 28, 2021) – The championship field for the 2021 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Lacrosse Championship has been set. The nine teams competing for the MAAC title include Canisius College, Fairfield University, Iona College, Manhattan College, Marist College, Monmouth University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, and Siena College.
The nine-team championship will take place between April 30 and May 9, 2021. The play-in game on Friday, April 30 between No. 8 Marist and No. 9 Iona will be conducted at the site of the No. 1 seed, Fairfield University. All remaining games of the championship will be hosted by the higher seeds.
Quarterfinal games will take place on Saturday, May 1, and will be hosted by No. 1 Fairfield, No. 2 Siena, No. 3 Monmouth and No. 4 Niagara. The four remaining teams from the quarterfinal round will compete in the semifinal round on Thursday, May 6, with each game being hosted by the higher seed. The championship game will take place on Sunday, May 9, and will be hosted by the highest remaining seed.
Per MAAC policy, host institutions will establish attendance policies based on state, local, and campus regulations, as well as facility guidelines. Please refer to each institution’s website for more details. All games will be broadcasted on ESPN+.

Kicking off the championship on Friday, Apr. 30 will be the play-in game between No. 8 Marist and No. 9 Iona, taking place at Fairfield University. The winner of that game will advance to play the top-seeded Stags (10-1, 10-1 MAAC) in the quarterfinal round. Other quarterfinal games include No. 2 Siena (9-2, 9-2 MAAC) and No. 7 Canisius (2-7, 2-7 MAAC), followed by No. 3 Monmouth (7-4, 7-4 MAAC) playing host to No. 6 Manhattan (3-8, 3-8 MAAC), and No. 4 Niagara (7-4, 7-4 MAAC) welcoming No. 5 Quinnipiac (5-6, 5-6 MAAC) to wrap up the quarterfinal round.
