Pitcher of the Week
Pete Soporowski, Rider

Soporowski pitched 9.0 scoreless innings across two outings this week, striking out 16 in that time. He began the week with 2.0 innings of scoreless innings of relief against Marist, striking out three, before pitching a 7.0 inning complete-game shutout, striking out 13 to defeat Saint Peter's. He scattered four hits and three walks over his 9.0 innings pitched.

Volpe hit .417 with two doubles, a triple, nine RBI's and six runs scored in the Broncs' eight games this week. He had four multi-hit games and hit safely in five of seven games played. He began the week with a 2-for-2 effort at Canisius on Monday, before going 9-for-15 with nine RBI's and five runs scored in four games in a four-game weekend sweep of Saint Peter's.

Tucker batted .529 in Niagara's 2-2 weekend against Manhattan. He recorded three multi-hit games and stole three bases in game one of the teams' DH on Sunday. On the weekend he had nine hits, five RBIs, four runs scored, four stolen bases, two doubles and one homerun.
 
Rookie of the Week
Brian Skettini, Rider
Fr., Midland Park, NJ/Ridgewood
 
Skettini hit .409 with two doubles, a home run, eight runs scored and three RBI's in seven games played this week. He also walked five times and was hit by a pitch to improve his on-base percentage for the week to .536. The Broncs' starting catcher, Skettini had three multi-hit games, homered against Marist and scored six runs and drove in two in a weekend sweep of Saint Peter's.
