(May 5, 2021) – The 2021 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s Golf Champion, Iona College, is headed to Kingston Springs, TN as announced on Wednesday on the NCAA Men’s Golf Selection Show. The Kingston Springs Regional will be played May 17-19, at The Golf Club of Tennessee, hosted by Vanderbilt University and the Nashville Sports Council.

The Gaels won their third consecutive MAAC Men’s Golf Championship back on April 25 at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, shooting a 725 (+5) over the course of the 45-hole championship. Oisin Devereux led the way for the Gaels for the championship, concluding the weekend in second place with a four under-par 176 to earn All-MAAC status. Joining Devereux on the All-MAAC list was teammate Justin Burkhamer, who finished with a three over-par 183. Also earning accolades was Garrett Giles, who was named MAAC Men’s Rookie of the Year after tying for 12th place with a score of 184 (+4).

The 2021 MAAC Men’s Golf Individual Champion, Austin Devereux of Rider University, was selected to compete as an individual in the Kingston Springs Regional. The senior captured the McLeod Trophy with a six under-par 174, becoming Rider’s first-ever player to win the individual championship. His efforts powered the Broncs to a program-best, second-place finish in the team championship at eight over-par (728).
