EDISON, NJ (April 22, 2022) – A total of 90 student-athletes were named to the 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Water Polo All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Long Island University (LIU) and La Salle University each placed a league-best 13 student-athletes to this year’s All-Academic Team. La Salle University and St. Francis College-Brooklyn named 12 student-athletes to the All-Academic Team.
Iona College, Marist College, and Villanova University followed by each earning 11 spots on this year’s team. Wagner College followed with eight student-athletes, Virginia Military Institute placed six student-athletes and Siena College rounded out the team with five honorees.

The 2022 MAAC Water Polo Championship is a four-team, single elimination tournament taking place April 23-24 at the McCann Natatorium on the campus of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. All games will be streamed live on ESPN+ and tickets can be purchased on
maacsports.com.
