Frank Mitchell, Canisius

Junior Frank Mitchell averaged a double-double last week, with 13.8 points and 10.5 rebounds over four games, helping the Golden Griffins go 3-1. In the Griff’s' win over Western Kentucky on Saturday, Mitchell tallied 17 points and 16 rebounds, the most rebounds in a game for a Canisius player since the 2017-18 season. He is the 15th player at the Division I level to have 16-or more boards in a game this season against a Division I opponent. The MAAC's leader in double-double performances, Mitchell had his second-straight double-double effort on Sunday in the loss to Bowling Green, where he scored a career-high 19 points to go with 10 boards. For the week, he shot 60.5 percent from the field while also averaging 1.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.3 steals per game.

Seydou Traore, Manhattan

Entering the week ranked sixth in the nation amongst freshmen in scoring, Seydou Traore registered his sixth double figure scoring game of the season versus No. 5 UConn. Despite the loss, Traore dominated down low recording 13 points, eight rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and one blocked shot in 27 minutes of play in Manhattan’s only game of the week.
