EDISON, NJ (July 26, 2023) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) today announced that a conference-record total of 3,020 student-athletes were named to the 2022-23 MAAC Academic Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Academic Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members in the MAAC. All 24 conference-sponsored sports are represented.
Marist College named 354 student-athletes to the Academic Honor Roll, leading the MAAC for the 22nd consecutive year. Mount St. Mary’s University followed in second with 295 student-athletes on the list, Fairfield University was third with 290 recipients, Quinnipiac University ranked fourth adding 255, and Manhattan College rounded out the top-five with 252 honorees.
Sacred Heart University led all MAAC associate members with 67 student-athletes selected to the Academic Honor Roll. LIU was second with 55 selections, Wagner College was next placing 47 on the list, Drake University followed adding 25, while Robert Morris University and Virginia Military Institute closed out the top-five with 23 each on the Academic Honor Roll.
