ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Mar. 11, 2024) – A total of 68 student-athletes were named to the 2023-24 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Basketball All-Academic Team, announced by the league office today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Both Marist College and Mount St. Mary’s University led the MAAC with 11 selections to the all-academic team. Following the two leading schools were Canisius University, which place eight honorees on the lineup, and Manhattan College, who added seven to the squad. The trio of Iona University, Niagara University, and Quinnipiac University had six choices each, followed by Fairfield University who had five. Closing out the all-academic team were Saint Peter’s University (3), Siena College (3), and Rider University (2).

Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
