Mount St. Mary’s Lipscomb and Niagara’s Blessing Named Bob McCloskey Insurance MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Xavier Lipscomb, Mount St. Mary’s, Men’s Basketball

Lipscomb is a tour de force for the Mount men's basketball team, competing in his fourth season in Emmitsburg. This year, he leads the Mountaineers in rebounds per game and in assists with 22 for the season. Shooting the rock, he is at 50 percent for the year and 42.3 percent from downtown, averaging 12 points per game. In recent games against P4 competitors Cincinnati and Maryland, Lipscomb recorded a respective 14 and 17 points as the Mount took leads into the second half against each opponent. 
 
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Kylie Blessing, Niagara, Volleyball
Sr. / Olean, NY, Portville
 
Blessing appeared in 104 sets, leading the Purple Eagles with a career-high 529 assists. Blessing also recorded 28 kills and 28 service aces. Blessing also tallied four double-doubles and recorded a season-high 32 assists against Saint Peter's. Blessing is majoring in Criminal Justice
