Thiago da Silva, Manhattan, Men’s Soccer
Sr. / Santos, Brazil, E.E. Azevedo Junior
da Silva has been a key contributor to his team both on the field and off the field, carrying a 3.94 GPA as a senior economics major. In 2025, Thiago has started seven of the Jaspers' 13 matches, putting them in prime position for a playoff spot. Orginally choosing Manhattan for its strong economics program, he hopes to enter the field immediately upon graduation.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Grace Sousa, Sacred Heart, Cross Country
Gr. / Georgetown, Mass., Georgetown Middle-High School
Sousa has led the Pioneers in four of the five races she competed in, which included wins at the Brown Bear Invitational and the Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational. As a team, the Pios won the Brown Bear Invite and finished second at Vermont. Sousa made the MAAC Academic Honor this year while pursuing an MBA in Business Analytics.
