Shariah Gailes led Canisius with 20 points and eight rebounds in Friday's 65-60 win over Wright State, the second consecutive victory for the Golden Griffins. The Griffs erased a five point deficit in the final three minutes and Gailes iced the game, giving the Griffs a three-point cushion with a pair of makes from the charity stripe with 11 seconds remaining. The Brooklyn, Ohio native went 6-for-11 from the field as she notched her second game this season with 20-or-more points.

Lexie Tarul, Marist

Senior captain guard Lexie Tarul tallied a career-high 24 points in Marist’s lone game last week at Binghamton. She connected on 8-for-14 shooting from the floor, including 6-for-11 from three-point range. Tarul also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, and added one assist, and one steal in the game.
Rookie of the Week
Ella Ryan, Quinnipiac
FY., Brentwood, TN, Brentwood
Ella Ryan continues to impress for the Bobcats, leading Quinnipiac with 17 points against Maine on Sunday. Ryan shot 70% from the floor (7-for-10) and 75% (3-for-4) from three-point range in the effort. Ryan also grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and recorded two steals.
The 2025-26 campaign culminates with the 2026 Air Force Reserve MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 5-10 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. 2026 will be the seventh consecutive year Boardwalk Hall will host the annual championship dating back to 2020. For the second straight season, the championship field will feature the conference's top 10 teams. Additionally, with the shift of the basketball championship schedule to a week earlier, the women’s championship game will be a standalone contest on Monday, March 9, while the men’s championship game will air live nationally on ESPN or ESPN2 on Tuesday, March 10.
