MAAC Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Teams Start 2025 Season This Weekend

EDISON, NJ (Aug. 29, 2025) – The 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s & women’s cross country seasons start this weekend with nine league teams set to compete.
 
Races get underway this morning with Mount St. Mary’s hosting its annual Mount 5k Duals at 11:00 a.m. in Emmitsburg, MD. Rider’s cross country squads will travel to Ambler, PA to compete in the Temple Cross Country Invitational, with action starting at 5:30 p.m. Manhattan will compete in the NJIT Alumni Opener in Newark, NJ at 6:45 p.m.
 
On Saturday, Marist will host the annual Marist Season Opener at Vassar Farm beginning at 9:00 a.m., with the meet featuring a trio of MAAC schools which include Fairfield, Iona, and Siena. A pair of MAAC Connecticut schools in Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart will run at the Stony Brook Season Opener, in Stony Brook, NY at 10:30 a.m. to wrap up the opening weekend’s slate.

The 2025 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, New York on Saturday, November 1, 2025. 2025 will mark the third straight year that the championship races will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm and the meets will be hosted by Manhattan University for the 31st time.
