2021 MAAC Volleyball Championship – Semifinal

Fairfield University (23-8, 16-2 MAAC) took down Canisius College (11-18, 10-8 MAAC) in five sets on Saturday afternoon to advance to tomorrow’s MAAC Championship Final against Rider at 4 pm on ESPN+.
Canisius came out of the gates hot, taking down the Stags, 25-15 to capture the first set. Fairfield responded with a set victory of their own, 25-14. After trading sets three and four, the Stags ultimately outlasted Canisius en route to a 15-5 set and match victory.
Fairfield Notes
- Fairfield will play for their 12th crown in program history on Sunday.
- K.J. Johnson had a match-high 24 kills and 14 digs to register a double-double.
- Kyla Berg and Morgan Doll combined for 40 digs.
- Manuela Nicolini registed 47 of the team’s 57 assists.
- Mikayla Haut added 14 kills.
Canisius Notes
- Canisius concludes their season going 11-18 and 10-8 in MAAC regular season play.
- Hannah Nelson recorded 17 kills in the loss.
- Libero Bree Long recorded 28 digs to pace the Griffs.
- Rachel Kinney had 8 kills and 14 digs.

2021 MAAC Volleyball Championship – Semifinal

Rider University (19-11, 14-4 MAAC) defeated Quinnipiac University (11-18, 9-9 MAAC) in straight-sets to advance to the 2021 MAAC Volleyball Championship Finals. Rider captured the 2020-21 title last spring and will look to defend their crown.
Rider Notes
- Rider will play for their second MAAC title in program history on Sunday.
- Morgan Romano registered a match-high 26 kills.
- Anilee Sher recorded 42 of the Bronc’s 44 assists.
- Libero Pamela Loh led the Broncs with 12 digs.
- Caprice Clarke had five blocks on defense.
Quinnipiac Notes
- Quinnipiac concludes their season going 11-18 and 9-9 in MAAC regular season play.
- Aryanah Diaz finished with 14 kills and 8 digs.
- Alexandra Tennon also finished 14 kills, along with Diaz’s 14 to lead the Bobcats.
- Chloe Ka’Ahanui and Nicole Migliozzi recorded 39 of the team’s 42 assists.
- Faavae Kimsel-Moe recorded 15 digs on the evening.
