Fairfield Wins Third Straight MAAC Volleyball Championship Powered by Northeast Beef

Fairfield, CT (Nov. 23, 2025) – Fairfield University won the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Volleyball Championship on Sunday afternoon, taking down No. 3 Rider University. The championship was the Stag's third straight title.

No. 1 Fairfield (17-1) defeated No. 3 Rider (12-6) in a thrilling championship final to capture the 2025 MAAC Volleyball Championship title for the third consecutive year. Rider came out strong in the first set, building a four-point lead and keeping Fairfield at bay early. But the top seed steadily chipped away, fighting off every challenge to eventually take the set 26-24 in a nail-biting finish. The second set was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading points and momentum swings. Fairfield then unleashed an eight-point run that swung the set decisively in their favor, taking it 25-18. The third set saw Rider attempting to mount a comeback, but Fairfield’s relentless energy and precision proved too much. With a seven-point surge, the Stags pulled away and closed the set 25-12, sealing the match and the championship.

  • The Stags outscored the Broncs in kills (36-30), aces (13-3), and blocks (8-4).
  • Abby Jandro led Fairfield with 18 assists.
  • Hylan Wyche, 2025 MAAC All-Championship MVP, recorded six kills, two aces, and three blocks.
  • Mamie Krubally, All-Championship Team member, led the Stags with nine kills.
  • Katelyn Cook and Delaney Moon set season highs with five and three aces, respectively.
  • This victory marked Fairfield’s third straight MAAC Volleyball title, and its fourth over the past five years.
