2021 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship Game

No. 1 Monmouth University (15-4-1, 8-1-1 MAAC) defeated No. 2 Quinnipiac University by a final score of 4-0 to capture the 2021 MAAC Championship. Monmouth has now won five of the past six MAAC titles. Senior Lauren Karabin was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament. The Hawks will now wait to see who they will face in the 2021 NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship. The bracket will be announced in the NCAA selection show on Monday, Nov. 8 at 4:30 p.m. ET and can be streamed on

Monmouth Notes
- Karabin scored her fourth goal of the tournament and 10th of the season, the third best mark in the conference.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Rebecca Winslow recorded her fifth shutout of the season.
- Senior Jesi Rossman scored once and assisted twice on Monmouth’s first three goals.
- Senior A’Liah Moore tallied two assists in the win.
- Lauren Bruno kicked off the scoring by netting her second goal of the season in the 9th minute.
- Senior Alexis Marino scored her third goal in as many games.
- Head Coach Dr. Krissy Turner captured her sixth MAAC Championship since Monmouth entered the conference in 2013.
- Monmouth scored four goals in back-to-back games for the first time since October 19 and 26, 2019 against Niagara and Rider winning both 4-0 as well.
- Monmouth set the program record for most goals scored in the MAAC Tournament (11).
- The Hawks outshot Quinnipiac on goal, 7-1.
Quinnipiac Notes
- The Bobcats close their incredible season going 13-5-1 and 7-3 in MAAC regular season play.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Sofia Lospinoso recorded three saves in the loss.
- Sophomore Rebecca Cooke finished the season tied for the most goals (13) in the conference.
- Senior Selena Salas had the most assists (13) in the MAAC this season
- This was Quinnipiac’s second appearance in the conference championship since joining the conference, dropping their first appearance to Monmouth in 2016, 5-2.
