Quinnipiac and Fairfield earned a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship, each finishing 2022 with a league-best mark of 9-1 (27 points). The Bobcat’s defeated the Stags 3-2 back on October 1, giving Quinnipiac the head-to-head tiebreaker and No. 1 overall seed in the tournament field. The regular season crown for Quinnipiac was the first ever MAAC title for the program since joining the league in 2014. The Bobcats finished the 2022 campaign with a 13-2-1 overall record and went a perfect 8-0 at home. The Bobcats look to capture their first MAAC Tournament Championship. Fairfield collects its first regular season title since 2012 and eighth overall. The Stags compiled a 14-3 overall mark, giving them their most overall wins since 2014. Their 9-1 conference record tied a program best for them, a feat that was last accomplished in 1998. The Stags’ only other losses on the season came on the road at Princeton and Dartmouth. Fairfield enters the tournament on a six-game win streak and looks to continue it as they pursue their first Tournament Championship since 2008.

Both Quinnipiac and Fairfield earn opening round byes to the MAAC Semifinals, on Thursday, November 3. The Bobcats will face the lowest advancing seed, while the Stags will welcome the highest advancing seed.
