Bercedo Named to United Soccer Coaches Academic All-America Roster

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – David Bercedo has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Scholar Team, as announced by the organization on Dec. 15, 2022.
 
Bercedo – the Quinnipiac and MAAC leader in goals in 2022 – was named to the NCAA Division I Men's Scholar All-America Second Team for his efforts in the classroom and on the pitch this fall.

Bercedo – the 2022 MAAC Golden Boot winner – led the league with 14 goals and 35 points in 2022. The captain scored nine times vs. MAAC opponents, playing in all 21 contests for Quinnipiac. He had 12 multi-point games for the MAAC-champion Bobcats.

Quinnipiac completed its second-ever NCAA Tournament run in 2022. The Bobcats finished the season with a 13-5-3 record, going 6-2-2 in conference play to win their fifth regular season MAAC championship. QU downed Niagara in the MAAC Semifinals, then defeated Iona in the league championship contest in Hamden. The Bobcats battled to a 3-2 loss in OT during the NCAA Tournament at #8 Vermont.
