Marist’s Armitage, Lincoln, Monmouth’s Dombroski Earn Baseball Weekly Awards

Robbie Armitage, Marist

Robbie had a productive weekend at the plate, going a combined 10-14 (.714) with 3 doubles, 1 homerun, 7 runs scored, and 10 RBI in three games against Quinnipiac. In game 1, the grad. student went 3-5 with a double, run scored, and 4 RBI. In game 2, Armitage went 2-4 with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI. In game 3, Robbie went a perfect 5-5 with a homerun, double, five RBI and scored twice.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Trey Dombroski, Monmouth
Jr., Manasquan, NJ, Wall
 
Trey Dombroski continued his dominant campaign with seven shutout innings against Niagara, scattering five hits with one walk and seven strikeouts. Only two Niagara batters reached as far as second base in his 93-pitch outing.
 
Rookie of the Week
Nathan Lincoln, Marist
Fr., Canton, CT, Canton
 
Nathan Lincoln had a solid weekend at the plate in the Red Foxes series against Quinnipiac, hitting 6-12 (.500) with a double, four runs scored, and 3 RBI. In game 1, Lincoln went 1-4 with a run. In game 2, the freshman hit a double, had an RBI, and scored a run. Lincoln's best performance came in game 3, where the freshman hit 4-4 with three runs and two RBI.
