Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field | POUGHKEEPSIE, NY
Box Score
Top-seeded St. Bonaventure (11-4, 5-1 MAAC) kept No. 3 Manhattan (8-6, 4-2 MAAC) off the board in the opening period, leading the title game 1-0 through one. The Jaspers would respond scoring the games next three goals and outscoring the Bonnies 4-1 in the second period, taking a 4-2 advantage into the locker room. From that point on, Manhattan never relinquished the lead. The Jaspers would extend their lead to as many as three goals (8-5), doing so with 5:28 to play in the match. Despite the late three-goal deficit, the Bonnies fought back, with two late goals by Conor Murphy (2:56) and Brett Beetow (0:40) to pull to within a single goal. St. Bonaventure would have two more opportunities to try to send the game into overtime, but a blocked shot and a miss wide with three seconds left, clinched the title for Manhattan.
