Player of the Week
Morgan Madasz, Iona

Senior right side hitter Morgan Madasz exploded for 38 kills and 43.5 points in two matches on the road last week. She averaged 5.43 kills per set, 6.21 points while hitting .435 at Fairfield and Manhattan. Madasz had her season-best to date with 11 kills at Fairfield Wednesday night while hitting .375. She recorded an incredible 27 kills in a four-set win over Manhattan. She hit .467 while adding three aces, five digs, three blocks and was a perfect 7-for-7 in serve receptions. The 31.5 points and 27 kills were tied for the fourth-highest single-match total in Iona volleyball history; the second most in a four-set match. Madasz's 27 kills were also a MAAC-high for the week and the second-highest single-match output for a conference player this season.
Co-Libero of the Week
Hope Matschner, Iona
Sr., Winter Springs, FL, Winter Springs
Senior libero Hope Matschner continued her stellar defensive play in two matches on the road last week. Matschner averaged 7.29 digs per set and was perfect of 25 serve receptions while extending her errorless stretch to 26 straight sets (six-plus matches and over 130 receptions). She recorded 33 digs in three sets at Fairfield Wednesday night before an 18-dig, four assist effort in a win at Manhattan.

Kyla Berg, Fairfield
Sr., Fishers, IN, Hamilton Southeastern
Kyla Berg averaged 5.11 digs per set in a 3-0 week for the Stags. She totaled 46 digs in nine sets while also landing a service aces and dishing out 10 assists. With Berg leading the back row, Fairfield's trio of opponents hit just .086 for the week.
Rookie of the Week
Mamie Krubally, Fairfield
Fr., Lucas, TX, Plano East
Mamie Krubally averaged 2.78 kills per set on .358 hitting in a 3-0 week for the Stags. She also had a hand in eight blocks to total 30 points (3.33/set) in nine sets of action. Krubally's week was highlighted by a career-high 12 kills on .409 hitting with five blocks in Saturday's sweep of Rider.
The 2023 MAAC Volleyball Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 17-19, 2023 at Leo D. Mahoney Arena in Fairfield, CT. Fairfield University will serve as host of the three-day championship with the opening round on Friday, November 17, the semifinals on Saturday, November 18, and the championship match on Saturday, November 19.
