Sophomore forward Alex Darcy tallied a goal and dished out an assist in Fairfield's victory over Saint Peter's. She tallied the game-winner by scoring the opening goal of the game in the 12th minute of the match against the Peacocks and  also found Maddy Theriault for an assist to put the Stags up 2-0 in the 31st minute of the first half.
 
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Klil Keshawr, Mount St. Mary's

Mount St. Mary’s goalie Klil Keshwar recorded her sixth clean sheet of the season in the Mount’s 1-0 win over Rider that sealed a MAAC playoff spot and a MAAC First Round home game.  Keshwar saw four saves against the Brons and lowered her goals against average to a league-best 0.44 in MAAC conference games.

 
Rookie of the Week
Julia Dening, Siena

Freshman forwards Julia Dening capped a phenomenal freshman season for the Saints by scoring in the final contest of her rookie campaign. She opened the scoring with her fourth goal of the season, tying her for the team lead, to help lead Siena to a season-ending 2-1 victory over Iona Wednesday. Dening finishes her rookie season ranked tied for 10th in the MAAC in goals (four) and just outside the top-10 in scoring with 10 points.


The 2023 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship will take place from October 29 through November 5. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, October 29, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 2, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 5. With 11 institutions strongly bound by the sound principles of quality and integrity in academics and excellence in athletics, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is in its 43rd year of competition during the 2023-24 academic year. Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
