Pagliarini batted .667 with two homers and five RBI while drawing five walks in Fairfield's series win over George Washington. Pagliarini hit the go-ahead homer in the top of the ninth inning to complete a seven-run comeback in the late innings. He also had a .733 on-base percentage and a 1.556 slugging percentage.
Pitcher of the Week
Marcus Cashman, Niagara
Sr., Norwich, NY, Norwich
In his first start of the season, Cashman went five scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and earning seven strike outs to lead Niagara to a 6-1 win over Norfolk St.
Rookie of the Week
Josiah Ragsdale, Iona
Fr., Vineland, NJ, St. Augustine Prep
In 12 at bats over the weekend, Ragsdale reached base eight times, recording 5 hits, driving in 2 runs, and picking up a stolen base. Ragsdale drove in his first career RBI on a triple in the Gaels opening game vs. UNCW and the following day, in Iona's win over the Seahawks, Ragsdale provided a key insurance hit with a two-run RBI triple. He also came up across to score three times during the Gaels four game weekend.
