Menzing recorded five points, scoring a pair of goals and handing out an assist in Rider’s 3-0 win at Merrimack Saturday, leading the Broncs to their first MAAC win of the season. Menzing scored the first two goals of her Rider career, notching tallies in the 30
th minute and 53
rd minute of action. She then assisted on the final goal of the game in the 90
th minute.
Defensive Player of the Week/Rookie of the Week
Kayla Kalbaugh, Iona

Rookie goalkeeper Kayla Kalbaugh had another sensational week for the Iona University women’s soccer team this past week. The Gaels earned four points in MAAC play as Kalbaugh registered her first two career shutouts. The Pleasant Valley, NY native didn’t allow a goal and registered 15 saves for the week. Kalbaugh made seven saves in the 0-0 draw at Niagara on Wednesday. She followed that up performance by tying her career-high with eight saves in the 1-0 win over Saint Peter’s at Mazzella Field. Kalbaugh has posted a 1.06 goals against average for the season and ranks fifth among league goalkeepers with 55 saves.
The 2024 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 3-10, 2024. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The quarterfinals will take place on Sunday, November 3, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 7, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 10.
