Camryn Luginbuhl, Sacred Heart

Senior outside hitter Camryn Luginbuhl racked up an outstanding 47 kills (6.71/set) while hitting .340 on 97 attempts to lead SHU to a pair of MAAC wins this weekend. The senior outside hitter opened the weekend by breaking the program record for points in the three-set match with 27.0 against the Purple Eagles, tying the kills record with 24, which she set earlier this season. She hit .375 in the sweep of Niagara on 48 attempts. Then after being recognized on Senior Day, Luginbuhl tallied 23 kills and 13 digs while hitting .306 to lead the team to a four-set win over Canisius on Sunday.
Setter of the Week
Gaby Zovko, Sacred Heart
So., Bedford, MA, Bedford
Sophomore setter Gaby Zovko was all over the court for the Pioneers as they earned two crucial MAAC wins this weekend, as she tallied 72 assists (10.29/set), 10 kills (1.43/set), 8 digs (1.14/set) seven aces (1.00/set) and five blocks. She kicked off the weekend with 36 assists on the team's 46 kills in a dominant sweep of Niagara on Saturday. The outstanding sophomore then tallied 36 assists again with six kills, six aces and four digs in a four-set win over Canisius on Sunday.
Libero of the Week
Milani Villarreal, Sacred Heart
Fy., Murrieta, Calif., Vista Murrieta
First year libero Miliani Villarreal led the way for the Pioneers with 30 digs (4.29/set) to help the team secure a pair of crucial MAAC wins this weekend. She was also second on the team with 11 assists (1.57/set). Villarreal started the weekend with 10 digs and two assists in the Pios' sweep of Niagara on Saturday. She then racked up 20 digs and nine assists in a four-set win over Canisius on Sunday, her 11th 20-dig game of the season.
Rookie of the Week
McKenna Shotwell, Merrimack
Fr., Murfreesboro, Tenn., Providence Christian Academy
Freshman outside hitter McKenna Shotwell paved the way for the Warriors with a powerful double-double, featuring 16 kills and 10 digs against Marist and she led the charge for the Warriors with 15.5 pts, 14 kills, and 12 digs over Siena.
The 2024 MAAC Volleyball Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 21-24, 2024 at UHY Center in Loudonville, NY on the campus of Siena College. The first round will take place on Thursday, November 21, followed by the second round on Friday, November 22, the semifinals on Saturday, November 23, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 24.
