Junior attacker Charles Hunt totaled 13 goals and 3 assists in a week that saw VMI lacrosse go 2-0 with a 25-6 win over Hampton and a 17-9 win over St. Bonaventure. Hunt scored 6 goals and added two assists in the win over Hampton and followed it up with another 8-point performance in the win over St. Bonaventure with 7 goals and 1 assist. Hunt's 7 goals is the third most in a single game in the program’s 41-year history. Hunt's eight points is tied for the 4th most in single game in VMI history,
Defensive Player of the Week
Mason Oak, Quinnipiac
Jr., Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., Comsewogue
Junior goalkeeper Mason Oak made 19 saves in an impressive performance on the road vs. Bryant. He also scooped up six ground balls in the victory for the 3-0 Bobcats.
Oak’s save totals this year are: 19, 15, 19.
Face-off Specialist of the Week
Jack Rogers, VMI
So., Suwanee, Ga.
During the week, sophomore face-off specialist Jack Rogers was 34/45 on FOs with a 75.6% win percentage, scored 2 goals, and added 12 ground balls. In Tuesday's 25-6 win at Hampton, Rogers only lost two face offs (13/15) with an 86.7% win percentage. He also had a goal and logged 5 ground balls agasint Hampton. Against St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Rogers won 21/30 faceoffs in VMI’s 17-9 win.

Ty Yonas, VMI
Fr., Reading, Pa.
Freshman Ty Yonas helped VMI to a 2-0 week by totaling 3 goals and 7 ground balls and a caused turnover in wins over Hampton and St. Bonaventure.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Sean Mullan, Marist
Fr., Park Ridge, IL, Maine South High School
In a 1-1 week, freshman attacker Sean Mullan totaled four goals for four points and a groundball. He opened the week with a goal and a groundball in Marist's loss at UMass. He followed that performance with a hat trick in Marist's road victory over Hofstra on Sunday.
The 2024 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship will take place between April 27 and May 4, 2024. The six-team, single-elimination tournament will open on Saturday, April 27 with the opening round hosted by the higher seed of each matchup. The semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the highest MAAC full member school in the field and will be played on Thursday, May 2 and Saturday, May 4.
