Aiden McCaffrey was stellar in the Red Foxes 11-10 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday. In this matchup he collected four caused turnovers and a season-high six ground balls.
Face-off Specialist of the Week
Micah Hanson, Canisius

Sophomore Micah Hanson posted career highs of 22 face-off wins and 18 ground balls during the Griffs' matchup against LIU on April 5. Against the Sharks, he also pitched in a goal and an assis. Hanson turned in a .688 winning percentage at the face-off "X," going 22-of-32 on draws in the contest ... The 22 face-off wins matched the program single-game mark while the 18 ground balls were the most in a game by a Canisius player since the 2003 season.
Rookie of the Week
Mason Wolford, Canisius
Fr., Plain City, Ohio, Jonathan Alder
Freshman attacker Mason Wolford tallied six goals in the Griffs matchup with LIU on April 5. He became the first Canisius freshman to record six -or-more goals in a game since the program's inaugural season of competition in 1990. The rookie scored on just eight shots, with seven tries on target, scoring four goals in the first half and added a pair of tallies in the second.
The 2024 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship will take place between April 27 and May 4, 2024. The six-team, single-elimination tournament will open on Saturday, April 27 with the opening round hosted by the higher seed of each matchup. The semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the highest MAAC full member school in the field and will be played on Thursday, May 2 and Saturday, May 4.
