Siena’s Seppala and Quinnipiac’s Raviv Pick Up Hercules Tires MAAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards

Junior Teresa Seppala willed the Siena offense this past week, averaging 25.3 points per game on 52.2 percent shooting from the floor (27-52), 43.5 percent from three (10-23), and a perfect 12-12 from the line over three games. Seppala’s week started with a career high 31 points against Cornell on Monday, shooting 12-18 from the field and 4-7 from three. Her 24-point effort against Manhattan on Thursday led the Saints to a comeback win, scoring eight fourth quarter points, including the last four over 17 seconds, to tie and win the game. She followed up with yet another 20-point outing Saturday at Iona, netting 21 on 50 percent shooting from the field and from three

First year guard Gal Raviv continues to impress in her first season in Hamden. In two games this last week, Raviv averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. In the win against Saint Peter’s, Raviv scored eight points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out five assists. In their win over Marist, Raviv dropped 16 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out four assists. 
 
The 2024-25 campaign culminates with the 2025 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 11-15 at Atlantic City's Historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall for the sixth consecutive year dating back to 2020.
