Jersey Mike’s MAAC Volleyball Weekly Award Winners Announced

Player of the Week
Mamie Krubally, Fairfield
Jr., Lucas, TX, Plano East
 
Mamie Krubally led the Fairfield attack in a 2-0 week, putting down a team-best 3.50 kills per set on .515 hitting from the right side. Krubally added six blocks in six sets of work to bolster her team-leading 4.08 points per stanza. In Friday's sweep of Marist, Krubally needed just 14 swings to reach 10 kills, finishing with a .571 hitting percentage. She also got a piece of four blocks and had two digs against the Red Foxes. She also led the Stags on Saturday in the 3-0 win over Siena with 11 kills at a .474 clip with two blocks and two digs.
 
Libero of the Week
Miliani Villarreal, Sacred Heart

The Pioneers sophomore libero paced the defensive efforts amassing 47 digs for an average of 5.88 per set as Sacred Heart split a two-match MAAC weekend. In addition to her defensive efforts, she also added 13 assists across the two matches. The second year libero saw her high for the week come in the four-set win over Marist where she finished with 28 digs, her second highest single match total of the season.
 
Setter of the Week
Ella Bourque, Canisius
Sr., Yorkville, IL, Yorkville
 
Ella Bourque dished out 91 assists over seven sets, helping Canisius to a weekend sweep of Manhattan and Iona. Bourque tallied 44 assists in a sweep at Manhattan on Friday and then handed out 47 assists in a 3-1 win at Iona on Saturday. Bourque has dealt out 40-or-more assists on eight occasions this season. The former MAAC Setter of the Year in 2022 sits in fourth place all time in career assists in program history.
 
Co-Rookie of the Week
Ryleigh Short, Sacred Heart
FY., Canyon Lake, CA, Murrieta Valley
 
First year OH Ryleigh Short led the Pioneers to a weekend split in MAAC play averaging a double double with 36 kills and 22 digs combined across the two matches. She opened up the weekend with 19 kills, one shy of her career-high, with 13 digs and three blocks against Siena. Short followed that with 17 kills, nine digs and a trio of blocks against Marist.
 
Co-Rookie of the Week
Mary Claire Deacy, Siena
Fr., Chicago, IL, Mother McAuley High School
 
In three matches last week, Mary Claire Deacy totaled 35 kills on a blistering .392 hitting percentage with four blocks and a dig at UAlbany, in a win versus Sacred Heart and at Fairfield. She matched her career-high for most kills in a single match at UAlbany (14) and at Fairfield (14).
 
The 2025 MAAC Volleyball Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 18 - November 24, 2025. The first round will be hosted by the #3 and #4 seeds. The semifinal round and championship final will be hosted by the #1 seed. The semifinals can be played between November 21-23, and the championship final can be played between November 22-24.
