EDISON, NJ, (Nov. 12, 2025) – The 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s Soccer Championship will resume on Thursday, November 13 with the semifinal round. The four remaining teams and pair of matchups will include No. 1 Sacred Heart University against No. 4 Fairfield University and No. 2 Siena University versus No. 3 Iona University. Both semifinal contests will air live on ESPN+.

The semifinal round will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon when No. 2 Siena welcomes No. 3 Iona to Hickey Field in Loudonville, NY. The Saints, which start their postseason after a first round bye, are playing in their third consecutive semifinal. Siena has only lost one match since late September, posting a 6-1-4 record during that stretch. The Saints have never made a MAAC Championship final appearance and are seeking its first MAAC title. No. 3 Iona had an offensive eruption in a 5-0 shutout win over No. 6 Quinnipiac in the first round on Sunday at Mazzella Field in New Rochelle, NY. In the win, the Gaels tallied a season-high 17 points and matched their season-best of five goals, led by the first career hat trick from Alvaro Maneiro. Iona is on a seven match unbeaten streak going 5-0-2 since October 15. During the regular season, both teams posted an identical 6-1-3 MAAC record and when the team’s faced on October 15, they played to a 0-0 draw. Iona and Siena have not met in the postseason since the 2011 quarterfinals, with that meeting ending in a 0-0 tie and Iona ultimately advancing via penalty kicks, 4-3.
No. 1 Sacred Heart (8-3-5, 7-0-3 MAAC) vs. No. 4 Fairfield (8-4-5, 5-1-4 MAAC)

In the second semifinal matchup, No. 1 Sacred Heart will host crosstown rival No. 4 Fairfield at Park Ave Field in Fairfield, CT at 6:00 p.m. The Pioneers kick off their pursuit for a MAAC title after going unbeaten in MAAC play during the regular season and winning their first ever MAAC Regular Season Championship. Sacred Heart capped off the regular season by scoring its most points since 2011 and they are the first MAAC squad to go unbeaten in league play since Fairfield in 2018. The Pios have not lost a match since September 14. No. 4 Fairfield dominated No. 5 Niagara, 4-1 in the first round of the championship inside of Lessing Field in Fairfield, CT on Sunday. The Stags used a three goal rally over an 11 minute stretch midway through the first half to put the game out of reach early. Fairfield extended its current unbeaten streak to 10 games dating back to October 1 and will be playing in its first semifinal contests since 2021. The two teams played to a 2-2 tie a week ago on November 5. The have never played in a MAAC postseason game.
The 2025 MAAC Men’s Soccer Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 9-16, 2025. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The first round will take place on Sunday, November 9, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 13, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 16.
