2025 MAAC Women’s Soccer Postseason All-MAAC Awards Revealed

EDISON, NJ, (Nov. 3, 2025) The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) today announced the 2025 Women’s Soccer postseason awards, voted on by the league’s 13 head coaches. 
  
Fairfield University headlined major award winners, garnering four out of five honors. 
Headlining major award winners was 2025 MAAC Golden Boot, Maddy Theriault of Fairfield University, earning the honor for the second straight season. A senior forward hailing from Palmer, MA, Theriault led the conference in seven out of the 14 statical categories during the regular season, most notable points per game, goals per game, and game winning goals. In the nation, she was top five in game winning goals and shots per game. This past season, Theriault scored 15 goals, had four assists, and 34 points. The 2022 MAAC Rookie of the Year, she becomes a four-time All-MAAC First Team selection, having been voted to the league’s top team every year of her career while also being named 2024 MAAC Championship MVP.  
  
2025 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, Meghan Carragher, also comes from Fairfield. A senior from Middletown, NJ, Carragher was named an All-MAAC First Team selection in back-to-back seasons, also having an All-MAAC Second Team spot from 2023. Carragher appeared and started in all 18 games for the Stags logging one goal and one assist for three total points during the regular season.  
Earning the 2025 MAAC Golden Glove award was Fairfield keeper Katie Wright. The All-MAAC First Team choice picked up her second career all conference honor also making the 2022 All- MAAC Third Team. Wright, who hails from Sutton, MA, made 16 starts for Fairfield, logging 1262 minutes in net and posting a 13-1-2 record. She saved 41 goals, recorded a .804 save percentage, and had a .713 goals against average. Wright was top five in the conference in goals against average, save percentage, and shutouts. She also had four shutouts in 2025. 
  
The 2025 MAAC Rookie of the Year award went to Kylie Fuller from Merrimack College. A freshman midfielder from West Bridgewater, MA, was Merrimack’s leading scorer during the year, scoring a team-high 20 points on nine goals and two assists. She also led the team with 35 shots and 23 shots on goal. On the MAAC leaderboard, Fuller ranked fourth in goals, fifth in assists, and sixth in shots on goal.  
Claiming 2025 MAAC Coach of the Year honors was Fairfield’s David Barrett. He is a back-to-back winner of the award and a three-time recipient of the league’s top coach honor overall. Barrett led Fairfield to an unbeaten MAAC season, going 10-0-2, with a MAAC record 32 points, the team’s first unbeaten MAAC season since 2002 and the program’s second consecutive MAAC Regular Season Championship title. Overall, his Stag squad went 15-1-2, leading to their first-ever ranking in a national poll as Top Drawer Soccer ranked Fairfield No. 25 in the most recent poll. In his tenure at Fairfield, Barrett has led the Stags to seven postseason appearances and the 2024 MAAC Championship. Fairfield leads the nation in penalty kicks and is ranked top five in the nation in shots per game and won, lost, tied percentage. The Stags lead the conference in 13 statistical categories, the most notable being their total goals, assists, and shutout percentage. The 2025 Regular Season title was the 10th overall in program history for the Stags.  
Fairfield led the way with a league-high 10 All-MAAC selections, which included six members on the first team, a mark that also led the conference. Quinnipiac and Canisius followed, both placing five total athletes on teams.

The 2025 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship is an six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 2-9, 2025. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The first round will take place on Sunday, November 2, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 6, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 9.
