No. 2 Quinnipiac is appearing in the semifinal round for the fourth straight year in hopes of its third MAAC Championship title. Following a first round bye, the Bobcats face the Golden Griffins for their first game in the postseason. Canisius made their way to the semifinal with a 1-0 win over No. 6 Marist on Sunday. The Griffs goal was courtesy of a bicycle kick by All-MAAC Second Team Midfielder, Skylar Cornell to Azaria Fagan who scored on a header into the bottom left corner against Marist on Sunday afternoon for the only goal of the game. In the regular season, these two teams met on October 11 in Hamden, CT with the Bobcats taking advantage at home, scoring a 2-0 win over Canisius. With a first round bye, the top-seeded Stags are set to face the Pioneers on Thursday evening at Lessing Field to kickoff their title defense. Fairfield enters the matchup ranked No. 22 nationally in the most recent Top Drawer Soccer poll. Sacred Heart is coming off of a 2-1 victory over No. 5 Siena in the first round on Sunday afternoon.
