Inaugural Jersey Mike’s MAAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Weekly Awards of 2025-26 Announced

Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Brian Yeager, Saint Peter's
Fr., Wilmington, DESaint Marks High School
 
Freshman Brian Yeager delivered an impressive week in his collegiate indoor debut. At FDU’s Knight’s Midweek Clash, he placed fourth (36.46) in a Peacock-dominated 300m, where Saint Peter’s swept the top seven spots. Yeager carried that momentum into Friday’s Armory Collegiate Distance Carnival, capturing the team’s lone gold medal with a commanding win in the 800m (1:51.11).
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Damere Lassiter, Rider
So., Glassboro, NJ, Glassboro
 
At the Penn Opener, Lassiter won the weight throw with a mark of 16.34 meters and finished 4th in the shot put with a mark of 15.93 meters. His weight throw was the third mark in the MAAC by only 16 cm and his shot put mark was the top in the MAAC by over one meter. Lassiter’s throw was also the seventh-best mark all-time at Rider and an IC4A qualifying mark.
  
Men’s Rookie of the Week
Isaac Roberts IV, Rider
Fr., Millville, NJ, Millville
 
Roberts finished 2nd in the 60 meter hurdles at the Penn Opener with a mark of 8.00. It was the top mark in the MAAC and the sixth mark all-time at Rider. Roberts’ mark was also an IC4A qualifying mark. 
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Ariyana Jackson, Sacred Heart
Jr., Randolph, NJ, Randolph
 
Jackson opened her indoor season in the Yale University Season Opener on Saturday with a new personal best in the 60 meter hurdles that currently ranks her 1st in the MAAC. The junior tied her old best of 8.98 seconds in her trial race, before clocking her new best of 8.89 seconds in the final of the event. She twice surpassed the automatic ECAC qualifying standard of 9.00 seconds with her performance. The versatile Jackson also recorded a mark of 11.90 meters (39'½") in the shot put on Saturday that ranks her 5th in the MAAC.
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Sierra Thompson, Sacred Heart
So., Wakefield, RI, South Kingston High School
 
Thompson beat her personal best score by a whopping 278 points in the 30th Annual URI Pentathlon on Thursday. She placed 2nd in a field of 22 entries and was the first collegiate finisher with her total of 3674 points. Thompson’s score currently ranks her 1st in the MAAC, 1st in New England, 4th in the ECAC, and 12th in all of Division I. She won the long jump as part of the pentathlon with a measurement of 5.82 meters (19' 1 ¼").  This ranks her 1st in the MAAC and automatically qualified her for the ECAC's. The sophomore notched another ECAC auto qualifier in the 60 meter hurdles with an 8.95 second clocking that currently ranks her 2nd in the MAAC. Additionally, Thompson leapt 1.62 meters (5' 3' ¾") in the high jump, a height that ranks her 5th in the MAAC.
 
Women’s Rookie of the Week
Zoe Santos, Quinnipiac
FY., Norton, MA, Norton
 
Santos high jumped to the top spot in the MAAC after the first weekend, marking 1.68 and winning the event at the Yale Season Opener along with teammate Kayleanne Campbell. Her mark puts her third on the program's all-time list, matching the highest jump since 2019 by a Bobcat.
 
The 2025 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 21-22, 2026, at the Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York, New York. The two-day meet will be hosted by Manhattan University and will be held at The Armory for the 22nd consecutive year dating back to 2004.
