2025 MAAC Women’s Basketball All-MAAC Teams Announced

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Mar. 10, 2025) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), this morning announced the 2025 Women’s Basketball All-MAAC Teams, as voted on by the league’s 13 head coaches.
 
Leading the All-MAAC First Team were unanimous selections, Gal Raviv from Quinnipiac University and Teresa Seppala of Siena College. Joining the duo on the first team lineup was Meghan Andersen from Fairfield University, Jo Raflo of Mount St. Mary’s, and Fatmata Janneh from Saint Peter’s University.
 
One of the five members of the All-MAAC First Team will be honored as the 2025 MAAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Year.
 
The reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year and one of two returning players from last season’s first team, Andersen was a stat sheet stuffer again in 2024-25 posting averages of 15.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. She was the league-leader in field goal percentage (.491) and ranked fourth in the league in total points and sixth in points per game. Andersen logged the fourth-best three point numbers in a trio of MAAC statistics, shooting .377 percent from deep, connecting on 60 total three pointers, and making 2.07 triples per game. Additionally, her 41 blocks and 1.41 blocks per game average was also fourth in the conference.
 
Raflo earns her second straight all-league honors after a third team selection in 2024. The only senior voted to the All-MAAC First Team in 2025, Raflo appeared and started in 26 games this season for Mount St. Mary’s and scored 14.9 points, pulled down 6.1 rebounds, handed out 1.6 assists and had 1.1 steals. A senior guard from Gainesville, VA, her scoring average ranked seventh in the conference. Raflo made 1.92 three pointers per game, the seventh top mark in the MAAC, and shot .426 percent from the field, the sixth best percentage in the league.
 
Raviv was one of the most dynamic first year players in the MAAC and country this season. The Israel native started in all 29 games for the Bobcats, scoring 18.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.4 steals. Raviv was top three in the league in offense, ranking second in overall points (522), third in scoring average, third in assists (124), fourth in assists per game, and ninth in assist to turnover ratio. She was second in field goals, second in field goal percentage, and third in field goal attempts. Moreover, Raviv paced the MAAC in minutes played.
 
The only player in the MAAC to average a double-double on the year, Janneh makes an appearance on the first team after a rookie team placement last season. Saint Peter’s sophomore forward finished the regular season averaging 18.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. She held a national ranking of sixth in double-doubles, logging a MAAC-most 18 total. Hailing from London, England, Janneh sits among the nation’s elite when it comes to rebounds. She was the only player in the conference who grabbed above 10 rebounds per outing, leading the NCAA in defensive rebounds, pulling in 9.5 per game, and ranking eighth nationally in rebounds per game and 14th in total rebounds. Janneh was also top five in the MAAC in points per game, ranking second and points, ranking third.
 
The second returning first team choice from a season ago, Seppala earned a unanimous spot to this season’s lineup, her third career all-conference selection. A junior guard from Finland, Seppala played in 26 contests for the Saints, making starts in all 26 of her appearances. She was Siena’s leading scorer, producing a stat line of 16.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.7 steals per games in 35.7 minutes of work. Seppala is the nation’s best shooter at the charity stripe, connecting on an NCAA best, .953 percent of her free throws. On the MAAC charts, Seppala was fourth in scoring, second in three point percentage, fifth in field goal percentage, sixth in three pointers per game, and seventh in steals.
 
Earning a unanimous spot to the MAAC All-Rookie Team was Raviv. She was joined by Fairfield’s Cyanne Coe, Marist’s Danielle Williamson, Mount St. Mary’s Gabrielle Kennerly, Rider’s Winner Bartholomew, and Siena’s Myriam Traore.
 
One of the six members of the MAAC All-Rookie Team will be chosen as the 2025 MAAC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Year.
