2025 MAAC Men’s Basketball All-MAAC Teams Announced

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Mar. 10, 2025) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), today announced the 2025 Men’s Basketball All-MAAC Teams, as voted on by the league’s 13 head coaches.
 
Headlining the All-MAAC First Team were a trio of unanimous selections which included Josh Pascarelli of Marist University, Adam “Budd” Clark from Merrimack College, and Amarri Monroe of Quinnipiac University. Also chosen to the first team were DeJour Reaves from Iona University and Quinnipiac’s Paul Otieno.
 
One of the five members of the All-MAAC First Team will be honored as the 2025 MAAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year.
 
A senior guard from Syracuse, NY, Reaves was the lone Gael to play in all 31 of the team’s games this season. He posted a stat line of 16.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.1 steals, in 33.8 minutes of action per game. Reaves’ total points (518) and points per game average both ranked fourth on the MAAC leaderboard, while his 199 made field goals, his total steals (66) and steals per game placed him third among the league’s best. Additionally, he ranked fourth in field goal attempts, eighth in field goal percentage, and ninth in minutes per game.
 
After being named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team a year ago, Pascarelli picked up unanimous first team honors in 2025 after leading Marist and ranking sixth in the MAAC in scoring with 15.9 points per game, while also posting 3.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists during the regular season. The sophomore guard from Cambria Heights, NY, was one of the best shooters in the conference, posting top 10 rankings in numerous shooting categories. Pascarelli ranked third in three-point percentage and three-pointers made per game, fourth in total triples and field goal percentage, and sixth in made field goals and three-point attempts.
 
One of the best players in the country, Clark led the MAAC in scoring and ranked 17th in the NCAA after averaging 20.2 points per game during Merrimack’s inaugural season in the league, leading to his unanimous selection to the first team. The Philadelphia native added a stat line of 4.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 2.7 steals. Clark was 18th in the nation in total points (626) and led the conference in field goals attempted (543), field goals made (244), minutes played (36.6), steals (85), and steals per game. Both his steals’ totals and steals averages were fifth-best in the country during the year. A sophomore guard, Clark ranked second in the MAAC in assists, third in assists per game, fifth in free throws, sixth in field goal percentage, ninth in free throw percentage, and 10th in double-doubles.
 
Quinnipiac’s junior forward, Monroe was the lone returning All-MAAC honoree this season after having been selected to the second team last year and beginning this year’s campaign as the Preseason Player of the Year. Hailing from Newburgh, NY, he appeared in 30 games for the Bobcats, making 29 starts, while posting averages 17.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 2.3 steals, and just under one block (0.8) per game. Monroe led the league in rebounds and compiled 14 double-doubles this season, a mark that led the MAAC and was the 12th most in the NCAA. He was the conference leader in total rebounds (276), rebounds per game and defensive rebounds per game (7.0). Moreover, Monroe placed second on the MAAC leaderboard in steals and third in points.
 
Otieno, a graduate forward from Nairobi, Kenya, started in 30 games for the Bobcats and registered 13.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 2.1 blocks per game. He recorded 13 double-doubles, the second most in the MAAC and 18th best total in the country. Otieno shot .590 percent from the field and pulled in 3.9 offensive rebounds per game, marks that paced the league, while his offensive boards numbers ranked sixth in the NCAA. He ranked second among the league leaders in blocks and blocks per game and was also second in total rebounds and rebounding average.
 
All five members of the MAAC All-Rookie Team were unanimous choices in 2025. The five members included Iona’s Adam Njie Jr., Manhattan’s Will Sydnor, Quinnipiac’s Jaden Zimmerman, Sacred Heart’s Mekhi Conner, and Siena’s Gavin Doty.
 
One of the five members of the MAAC All-Rookie Team will be chosen as the 2025 MAAC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Year.

In addition to Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year, the MAAC will also honor a Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year, which will be announced this afternoon.
