Men’s Lacrosse 2025 MAAC Postseason Yearly Awards Announced

EDISON, NJ (Apr. 25, 2025) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced the 2025 Men's Lacrosse All-MAAC teams and Major Award winners. All awards were voted on by the leagues nine head coaches.

Unanimously chosen as the 2025 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and the only unanimous pick for the All-MAAC First Team at the attack position was Pratt Reynolds from Siena College. Reynolds’ stellar season saw the senior put together a stat line of 51 points, 3.92 points per game, 48 goals, 3.69 goals per game, three assists, 13 ground balls, and three game winning goals in 13 games. He led the MAAC in goals, goals average, points average, shots (128), shots average (9.85) and ranked second in total points. On the national leaderboard, Reynolds scored the second-most goals in the NCAA, his goals per game average was the third most in the country, he ranked fourth in total shots, and he also ranked 23rd and 32nd nationally in total points and points per game, respectively. He was the winner of MAAC Offensive Player of the Week on April 21 additionally.
 
Connor Hapward of Manhattan University was honored as 2025 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year. One of the best goalkeepers in the country, Hapward owned the best saves and saves percentage totals in the MAAC, making 191 saves (3rd in NCAA) and recording a save percentage of 0.578 (11th in the NCAA). During the 2025 campaign, the senior protected the cage in 14 contests, making 13 starts while logging 820:28 minutes in net. Hapward ranked third in the league with his 10.24 goals against average and went 4-4 in MAAC games, 6-8 overall this season. He was named to the All-MAAC First Team at the keeper position and won MAAC Defensive Player of the Week on February 3.

Marist University’s Michael Cassano was selected as the 2025 MAAC Long Stick Midfielder of the Year and was voted to the All-MAAC First Team at the position. In 14 games, Cassano collected 35 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers, scored four goals, handed out a pair of assists, and registered six points. His 0.86 caused turnovers per game ranked 21st in the league and he was also named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week on March 10.
 
Siena freshman sensation Logan Banek collected 2025 MAAC Face-off Specialist of the Year and was the unanimous MAAC Rookie of the Year. He was the lone freshman to make the All-MAAC First Team and was one of six unanimous All-Rookie Team choices. Banek ranked first on the NCAA statistical leaderboard in three categories following the 2025 regular season, which included face-offs won, ground balls, and ground balls per game. He won 205 face-offs, being the only player in the nation with 200+ successful face-offs. He scooped up 127 ground balls and posted a ground ball per game average of 9.77, being one of seven players nationally with 100+ ground balls this season. Banek’s .651 face-off winning percentage also led the MAAC and ranked fourth in the country. He added three points via two goals and one assist on nine shot attempts. A 10-time weekly award winner this season, Banek collected five MAAC Face-Off Player of the Weeks and five MAAC Rookie of the Weeks.
 
2025 MAAC Coach of the Year recognition went to Siena’s Liam Gleason. Gleason led the Saints to a share of the 2025 MAAC Regular Season title, the first for program since 2014. Siena went 9-4 overall and 7-1 in the MAAC, landing a first round bye and No. 2 overall seed in the MAAC Championship field. The Saints ended the season on a seven game winning streak and have been receiving votes for several weeks in the latest Inside Lacrosse Kane Division I Men's Lacrosse Media Poll.

The 2025 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place from April 27 through May 3, 2025. The first round will be hosted by No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, while the semifinals and championship will be hosted by the top overall seed. All rounds of the championship will reseed.
