Keogh of Merrimack and Poissant of Niagara Named Jersey Mike’s MAAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Award Winners

Isabella Keogh led Merrimack with three points during a 1-0-1 opening week record. On Thursday against Vermont, Keogh assisted on the Warriors lone goal in a 1-1 draw. Against UMass Lowell on Sunday, she scored the game tying goal in the 28th minute of action, leading to a 2-1 victory for Merrimack.
 
Defensive Player of the Week/Rookie of the Week
Julia Poissant, Niagara

Niagara rookie goalkeeper Julia Poissant led the Purple Eagles to their first Power 4 upset win since 2021, defeating Syracuse 2-1 on Sunday. Poissant played all 90 minutes in the net, earning her first career collegiate win. In the upset victory, she recorded 10 saves, seven of which came in the first half of action, while allowing just one goal.
 
The 2025 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 2-9, 2025. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The first round will take place on Sunday, November 2, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 6, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 9.
