Sadie Sallas delivered a standout performance against Marist, scoring five goals and adding a steal. She followed that up with an even bigger game in the victory over Salem, tallying six goals, two assists, and another steal to lead the offensive charge.

Lola Trujillo, Iona

Foster High
Lola Trujillo made a major impact on the defensive end against Marist with three steals and two blocks, and added four more steals versus Salem to keep the pressure on. She also contributed offensively with five goals and five assists across the two games while winning all eight swim-offs to give her team crucial possessions.

Ines Sanchez, Marist
Sr., Barcelona, Spain, Voramon
Ines Sanchez played in two matches this past weekend against Iona and Salem. In the match against Iona, she saved 16 out of 25 shots against her for a save percentage of 64%. In the second match against Salem, she saved 5 out of 10 shots against her for a save percentage of 50%. She also scored her first career goal in this match. Overall, she saved 21 of 35 shots against her for a save percentage of 60% while also recording one goal.
Rookie of the Week
Jolanta Szentpali, Marist
Fr., Budapest, Hungary, Berzsenyi Daniel High School
Szentpali played in two matches this past weekend against Iona and Salem helping Marist win both. In the first match against Iona, she recorded two goals. In the second match against Salem, she recorded one goal and two steals. Overall, she recorded three goals and two steals.
The 2026 MAAC Water Polo Championship will take place April 11-12, 2026. The four-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by Marist University in Poughkeepsie, NY.
