2026 MAAC Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team Announced

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Mar. 3, 2026) – A total of 42 student-athletes were selected to the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team, announced by the league office today.
 
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
 
Leading all MAAC institutions with a conference most of six honorees was Siena University. The duo of Manhattan University and Quinnipiac University followed with five selections apiece, while the pair of Canisius University and Marist University were next with four members each. The quartet of Fairfield University, Mount St. Mary’s University, Saint Peter’s University and Sacred Heart University added three academic choices each, while Merrimack College and Rider University totaled two selections apiece. Closing out the all-academic team Iona University and Niagara University with one team member each.

The 2025-26 MAAC basketball season culminates with the 2026 Air Force Reserve MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 5-10 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. 2026 will be the seventh consecutive year Boardwalk Hall will host the annual championship dating back to 2020. For the second straight season, the championship field will feature the conference's top 10 teams. Additionally, with the shift of the basketball championship schedule to a week earlier, the women’s championship game will be a standalone contest on Monday, March 9, while the men’s championship game will air live nationally on ESPN or ESPN2 on Tuesday, March 10.
