Rider’s Reda-Fehsal, Sacred Heart’s Kowalski, and Merrimack’s Paulin Capture Jersey Mike’s MAAC Softball Weekly Awards

Player of the Week
Kendall Reda-Fehsal, Rider

Reda-Fehsal was dominant at the plate in a 3-1 week for the Broncs. The junior hit .467 (7-for-15) with nine RBIs. In the game-one win against Princeton, Reda-Fehsal hit a three-run double in the top of the first, then came around to score in a game the Broncs won 4-3. She saved her biggest heroics for the second game of the double header against Army, as down to the Broncs last strike, she hit a walk-off grand slam to give Rider the win. The win over Princeton was the first for the Broncs over the Tigers since 2022.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Sam Kowalski, Sacred Heart
Sr., San Clemente, CA, San Clemente
 
Kowalski finished last week with a 1.71 ERA and a 2-2 record in five appearances. She struck out 25 batters and posted three complete games. Kowalski started the week by holding Harvard to three earned runs while striking out four batters in 7.0 innings. She was then the credited winner in both of SHU's sweep of Manhattan on Saturday. She started the day by not allowing her first hit until on out in the bottom of the seventh in game one, striking out eight batters in a 1-0 win. She followed that up by getting the win with 3.2 innings of scoreless ball in a comeback 8-6 victory in the nightcap. 
 
Rookie of the Week
MacKenzie Paulin, Merrimack
Fr., Greenfield, MA, Greenfield
 
MacKenzie Paulin would pitch all seven and allow no earned runs and only would give up two hits en route to her first win of her Merrimack career, a 5-1 victory over Canisius on Saturday.
