ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Mar. 4, 2026) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), this morning announced the 2026 Women’s Basketball All-MAAC Teams, as voted on by the league’s 13 head coaches.
Leading the All-MAAC First Team were unanimous selections, Meghan Andersen and Kaety L’Amoreaux from Fairfield University and Madison Roman of Merrimack College. Joining the trio on the first team lineup was Jackie Grisdale and Ella O’Donnell of Quinnipiac University
One of the five members of the All-MAAC First Team will be honored as the 2026 MAAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Year.
The lone returning players from last season’s first team, Andersen became a three-time All-MAAC First Team honoree in 2026 after posting a statline of 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. She led the MAAC in three point percentage (41.9) and ranked second in three point attempts per game (2.86). Andersen was second in the conference in field goal percentage (44.4), field goals made (172), total points (468), three pointers made (83) and three pointers per game (2.86). Additionally, she was third in points per game and totaled 59 assists, 33 steals, and 23 blocks.
A second team MAAC selection in 2025, L’Amoreaux ascended as one of the top players in the league in 2026. She was the MAAC leader in scoring, accounting for 537 points, 18.5 points per game, assists with 132, assists per game at 4.6, field goals made, field goal percentage, free throws with 120, and recorded the only triple double in the MAAC this season. L’Amoreaux ranked second in assist to turnover ratio (1.76) and had the third best marks in steals and steals per game, logging 65 and 2.24, respectively. She won the most MAAC Player of the Week award in 2026, winning six, and she was named as a Mid-Major Player of the Year semifinalist earlier in February.
The MAAC leader in double doubles with 17, Roman averaged 13.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists this season, all marks that lead Merrimack. She was the MAAC leader in rebounds (313), rebounding average, and defensive rebounds (7.7), while her points per game placed her seventh on the MAAC charts. Moreover, Roman ranked second in free throw attempts (155) and third in free throws (104).
Grisdale, who was voted to the All-MAAC Third Team last season, averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.6 steals this season. She led Quinnipiac in points and steals, with her scoring average ranking 10
th in the league, her steals ranking 11
th and her steals per game average ranking 12
th. On the MAAC leaderboard, Grisdale was third in three point percentage (40.0), three pointers made (70), and three pointers per game (2.41). She was also seventh in three point attempts (175).
O’Donnell, a 2025 MAAC All-Championship Team choice, earned her first All-MAAC honors this season since making the rookie team in 2023. O’Donnell posted 11.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals this season. She had the third highest field goal percentage (.504) in the league and her field goals made (131) were ninth best in the conference. O’Donnell’s scoring ranked 18
th in the MAAC, her rebounding was 17
th, and her assists were 11
th. She recorded an assist to turnover ratio on 1.18, a mark that was 19
th in the conference and she added 85 assists and 36 steals.
Earning a unanimous spot to the MAAC All-Defensive Team was Oralye Kiefer from Merrimack College. She was joined by teammate Paloma Garcia, L’Amoreaux, Isabellah Middleton from Iona University and Aliya McIver from Rider University. One of the five members of the MAAC All-Defensive Team will be chosen as the 2026 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Earning unanimous spots to the MAAC All-Rookie Team were Ella Ryan of Quinnipiac, Justine Henry from Marist and Francesca Schiro of Siena. Along with the trio, Sophie Nascimento of Sacred Heart and Kaiya Rain Tucker of Siena also joined on the MAAC All-Rookie Team. One of the five members of the MAAC All-Rookie Team will be chosen as the 2026 MAAC Rookie of the Year.

In addition to Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year, the MAAC will also honor a Sixth Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year, which will be announced this afternoon.
The 2025-26 MAAC basketball season culminates with the 2026 Air Force Reserve MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 5-10 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. 2026 will be the seventh consecutive year Boardwalk Hall will host the annual championship dating back to 2020. For the second straight season, the championship field will feature the conference's top 10 teams. Additionally, with the shift of the basketball championship schedule to a week earlier, the women’s championship game will be a standalone contest on Monday, March 9, while the men’s championship game will air live nationally on ESPN2 on Tuesday, March 10.
