The second semifinal round match on Friday afternoon will feature a battle between No. 2 Mount St. Mary’s and No. 3 Sacred Heart at 4:00 pm. Unlike the first semifinal match, the Mount and Sacred Heart will be a contest between two programs that have only been members of the league for less than five years and have one MAAC postseason appearance combined. For the Mount, they are making the second MAAC Championship postseason ever, last making the field in 2023 during their inaugural season. Sacred Heart, which joined the MAAC last year, is making its first ever MAAC championship field. When the teams met in the regular season in Fairfield, CT back on February 21, Sacred Heart topped the Mount 4-0.
