EDISON, NJ (Aug. 11, 2021) - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s (MAAC) Committee on Athletic Administration (COAA) today unanimously approved an amendment related to schedule changes caused by COVID-19 disruptions.
The approved amendment, which will be in effect for the 2021-22 academic year, is applied to all conference competitions. The amendment states the following:
For the 2021-22 AY all cancelled games related to a team not being able to field a team because of COVID issues including quarantines will be considered a forfeit and will not be rescheduled. Forfeited games are recorded as a loss for the team unable to compete, and as a win for the opponent.
