Fairfield's McGinley and Quinnipiac’s Sakoda Earn Levy Recognition MAAC Golf Monthly Awards


Men's Golfer of the Month
Killian McGinley, Fairfield
Sr., London, England, Bradfield College HS

Senior, Killian McGinley, helped lead Fairfield to a top 25 finish at the Lehigh Invitational this past month. McGinley, who shot a 73 for the first two rounds, placed 14th after the first day of the Lehigh Invitational.

Women's Golfer of the Month
Kaylee Sakoda, Quinnipiac
Sr., Cypress, CA, Troy

Senior, Kaylee Sakoda’s, win at the Lehigh Invitational helped lead Quinnipiac to a fourth-place finish on October 25. Shooting a 72 (E) on the first day of competition, Sakoda, would go on to shoot a two round- total of 143 (-1) over the next two rounds, before winning the Invitational after five playoff holes. This win marks Sakoda’s second first place finish of the fall, after winning at the Quinnipiac Classic.


The 2023 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Golf Championships return to Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, FL from April 21-23. The 2023 championships will mark the eighth time since 2015 that Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course will play host to the conference championship.
